Steven born in Islington was working as a Store merchandiser and Katia born in north Italy was working as a floor manager in a department store. With many years of combined retail experience in a number of London’s most prestigious stores and boutiques, Steven and Katia provide a high level of customer service and professionalism.
In 2004 at the top of their careers the pair decided to leave the beautiful but chaotic London for a better quality of life in the country. The perfect location was to be the Isle of Wight with its stunning countryside, golden beaches, breathtaking views and picturesque villages.
The Italian Touch boutique is located on Union Street close to the Pier in Ryde. The merchandise hasn’t cluttered the space, but rather enhanced it. There aren’t endless rails and shelves are positioned so as not to interfere with the line of the walls. A living space has been created rather than a shopping environment.
"The owners of this remarkable shop hand pick items made in Italy and bring them back to share with customers in Ryde, Union Street and on their web site. The designs are always distinctive and the cut and quality is excellent but affordability is also key at The Italian Touch and prices are kept competative." Kate Young (Isle of Wight County Press)
Visitors to The Italian Touch adore the quirky handbags and belts from Antonello Serio and Valentino, jewellery from Della Rovere and Pashmina scarves from Mac & Co. The extremely elegant portrait-collar jackets from Siste's are a must and the formal yet feminine Lara & Co suits, with a cut that follows the figure is ideal for every business woman.
The very unusual Salepepe, Kontatto and Sistes colored tops, with graphic elements and precious embroidery of beads with unexpected light effects are the most popular.
Last but not least are The Italian Touch shoes carefully chosen to complement the collection, available in the latest design but with perennially classic styles. The practical flat shoes are smart and stylish, while the high heals instantly give you a leaner silhouette while lengthening your legs.
